My Ghostly Ancestor

My name is Laurie and when I turned 21 I divorced my husband and I went to stay with my mom in Tennessee with my then 4 year old son. One night
I was getting him to sleep and I fell asleep myself to wake up unable to move and I looked up and saw someone standing over the bed. At first I thought it was my mom... this thing had long hair and long fingernails like my mom. So I said, "Mom what are you doing"? and I got no answer.

So again I said "Mom" and still it just kept reaching for me and the third time I just closed my eyes and screamed mommy, yes at 21 I wanted my mom. She came in and turned on the light. I told her what happened and she said it was one of our ancestors. She said she saw the same thing when she was 11. Since that day I have been interested in ghosts and the paranormal. Still scared, but that piqued an interest for me.
