Is it Paranormal - The Man In The Corner

by Jill Pariseault
(Virginia)

Unaltered image

Unaltered image

Unaltered image Cropped and brightened

I love to explore and photograph abandoned houses. There was one particular house I had been interested in for a while, but every time I drove past it, it gave me a very bad vibe. This is only unusual because no other abandoned place I've explored has ever creeped me out at all, and I think it should be said for the sake of this story that I'm not actually afraid of ghosts. But I decided I would need a friend with me when I went into this place.

We didn't stay for long because the energy in there was terrifying. I had goosebumps the entire time. I came home and posted the photos on Facebook to show my friends. In one photo, no less than five friends commented that they thought they saw something. My computer monitor is dark, so I couldn't really tell. Then, someone cropped the photo down for me. I saved it on my computer, brightened it, and was AMAZED at what I saw.

The first photo is the completely unaltered one. The second is the cropped and brightened version. Everyone concurs that it appears to be a man in a 1940s hat, holding/pointing something in his hand, or holding his hand near his face.

Of course, it may just be light trickery or some funny peeling paint. What do you think?

It's a good picture. But I don't see anything. I see paint peeling and a rusted bathroom but nothing too scary.

Wow this looks interesting. It's clearly a old home and maybe someone died there.

Looks more like peeling paint, sorry. If you look at the original first it looks like paint.

Tiny ghost
by: Anonymous

The image in question must be five inches high, I would be upset to come back as a tiny ghost.

Yes, the cropped version is the very bottom right hand corner of the dark part in the back, above the top of the washing machine.

wOw ! That's a good photo, that's what I call a good catch. To me the bottom one looks like a face thats not at all happy, and I would take a paranormal investigator with you the next time and I would bet that you will find all kinds of things going on.
good job mike

Interesting pics. Could you tell me if the cropped version was taken out of the unaltered version? It doesn't appear the two match. I'm trying to locate the area on the unaltered version so I can see it from the distance view.

Folks, to view different version, click on the lower set of images. That brings your selection to the top for a larger view. Of course, you can always "view image" and zoom in your browser, too.
