Illinois Asylum for the Incurable Insane Paranormal Tours

by Stephanie Hill
(Bartonville, IL)

First I would like to introduce myself. My name is Stephanie Hill, and I have a paranormal group out of Kentucky. My partner and I have recently joined with the owner of the Illinois Asylum for the Incurable Insane in Bartonville, Illinois.

We have started over night tours for individuals and paranormal groups that are wanting to come in and conduct an investigation. This building has been abandoned for the last 25 years, and was owned by the city of Bartonville. From my understanding, LOTS of paranormal groups have wanted into this building to do investigations, but the city would not allow it, UNTIL NOW!

We are reaching out to the paranormal groups of Illinois to inform you that this building is now open for investigations, and has LOTS of activity. During a recent investigation, my group filmed for about 16 hours and had over 700 EVPS within that 16 hours. The paranormal activity of this building is unbelievable.

If you or your group is interested in joining us on an overnight tour, please contact me to schedule a tour. You may contact me by replying to this message or by phone at 502-275-9236. Or stephanie at preternaturalrealm dot com. We look forward to assisting you in getting into this building for an UNBELIEVABLE INVESTIGATION.

Hope to hear from you soon, and hopefully will see you at one of the tours!

Tours and Pictures
by: Anonymous

I was just at both the cemetery and the main Bartonville building taking pictures this week (October 14, 2010). Although not able to enter the building, I have some really fascinating pictures of what appears to be anywhere from a few to a few hundred orbs! I am not a paranormal researcher but have wanted to go on a tour for many years. If there is really a tour scheduled for this year, I and several people that live in the Peoria area who were also with me this week at the site, would love to go. Please let me know ...and I would also like a paranormal researcher to actually scrutinize the pictures I took.
The phone number listed is not working btw...

I want to go!!!
by: heather

hi my name is heather and i just came across your posting about the bartonville insane asylum. I was wanting to know if you still go there? and if there is anyway that me and my friends can go with you? we have been in to stuff like this for a while. we almost got arrested for walking around and taking pictures. we really want to go in, the pictures of the grave yard are great i got. some of the headstones actually look like they have flowers on them but when you look at them on a big screen it looks like faces screaming. well if you still do this could you please contact me with info or even if you know who i can talk to about going in i would be very happy. **email removed - sorry, not allowed**

Hi...I was searching on the internet and found your website which I must say has been the first I have ran across that is like yours. Me and a few friends actually conduct some of of our own investigations in various places all over Illinois. I have been scoping out this Bartonville place since I found it one day searching for the Manteno asylum on the internet. I and a few other people I know are very interested in scheduling a night to do an investigation. I would just like to say its an awesome thing that they allow you to conduct these tours because alot of times I scope areas out before I go in them because of the dilapidating conditions and you always risk breaking and entering. Not everywhere is an easy access.
