Voicemail EVP
My wife received this message on her voicemail confirming a timeshare vacation at a Sheraton resort in Orlando. The call seems to end as soon as the woman finishes her boilerplate message. (In fact, when listening to the recording directly from the voicemail, the ambient noise surrounding her message goes silent once she concludes her message, indicating that she has ended the call.)
Once the call has ended, another voice is heard on the recording. The voice is gravelly and faint and seems to say, slowly and with curious emphasis, "Are you still with me?" Only after this second voice is finished is the electronic voice of the voicemail system finally prompted. I recorded the message on another cellphone in a small bathroom to get the best audio quality (recording gets louder near the end as I wasn't sure where the mic was). This is still a recording of a recording, though, so the quality is not as good as listening to the voicemail directly from a phone.
