The Grey Lady

by Lucky 13
(Indiana)

Some say she is Louise Carpenter, daughter of the founder of the Willard Library, Willard Carpenter.

While Willard provided for his family upon his death, he left the majority of his estate to the library. Louise sued and lost. Some say she holds a grudge and haunts the library to this day.

Others disagree that the ghost is Louise. The Grey Lady is not malevolent, as they assume Louise would be.

Whomever she is... Her presence is accompanied by the strong scent of musky perfume. She also makes her presence known by turning water faucets on and off, adjusting lights, and moving books.

Join the friends of the Grey Lady on Talk City Watchers forum while we discuss the Famous Haunted Willard Library at www.talkcity.com/watchers. You can access the cams at www.willardghost.com to see if you see the Grey Lady pass in front of the cameras.
