The Dark Side of the Afterlife

Hello, my name is Kandi, and I am 35 years old. I have dealt with paranormal, or spiritual events my entire life. From my many experiences I have confirmed two things for sure, #1 there IS an afterlife, and 2# not everything on the other side is pleasant. Here are a few of my experiences I'd like to share. Please know that everything you are about to read is REAL, I am not one known for fabrication, and am sharing these things with you all in an effort to bring understanding to some, and to broaden the spectrum of possibility to the skeptics out there.

As a child I was always able to see and hear in the spirit, I also had very vivid premonitions and dreams that always directly related to my life or current circumstances, and always gave me insight into what was coming.

One of my first terrifying experiences with the dark side of the spirit realm was with my adopted mother "Kathy." She was a good person but under the influence of alcohol she was quite literally someone else. One late evening around 12:30, I woke up from sleep to someone telling me to go down stairs and check on my Mom. Well I was about 12 or 13 and I knew that there was going to be something to deal with because, I knew she had been drinking all day. When I got downstairs, she was having a fitful sleep, and was moaning. Well I started to pray, then I heard a voice come out of her that said, "Help Me." This terrified me but I knew I had to help her so I went into her room and started praying louder, but this time I placed my hands on her while I prayed. Well this brought out a different response. I heard another voice come out of her (and mind you, she never opened her mouth) It said "Leave Me Alone" in the deepest baritone I'd ever heard! I ran out of the room and ran up to my room in the attic just crying and praying that my mother would be all right. But I knew that whatever was dealing with her was stronger than I was at the time; consequently she tried to strangle me on two other occasions.

As I grew older I had more experiences that would change the course of my life. I moved away, to another city as an adult but I still had some of my mom's jewelry. Well I had been informed by a very nice prenatal nurse (I was pregnant at the time) that I needed to get rid of that jewelry since I didn't have many pleasant memories of my mom. So that night I took my mom's bracelet and ring off that I had worn for over a year since her death (she died from cancer). Once I did this, it sounded like there was knocking and banging all over my house, in the walls, the roof, the ceiling, the floors, everywhere! It was so loud my neighbor came out of her house to see what was going on. Its as if my mom's spirit couldn't find me anymore.

Then, at another time in my life I dealt with ghosts in this house I lived in with my children in Kentucky. It was the ghost of a little girl who would materialize at will, and everyone who came to my home could see her. She was troubled and a bit mischievous, often scaring my children in the morning before school by throwing things across the room, and one evening, she even came to me. I thought she was one of my daughters, seeing as how they always got into bed with me at night but when I went to put my arm around her, I blacked out. It felt as if my spirit left my body when I woke up and I asked my children if either of them had come into my room that night and they said no. So I knew it had to be this ghost child. I found out later that her spirit was attached to a piece of furniture I had received from a second hand store; once I removed it she seemed to go with it, too.

I have also had some experiences with Voodoo, (that is a very not so nice area of the spirit realm), but I'll save that one for another time.
