Paul served in the US Army for 12 years, working with D.S.T. (Drug Suppression Team) - C.I.D. (Criminal Investigation Division) in Germany. Then went into Military Intelligence as a 97 Bravo - Intelligence Analyst at PIC-K (Photo Interpretation Center-Korea). Later he was with OPFOR (Opposing Forces) in which he wore a Soviet uniform, ski mask, gloves and called himself Corporal Dowbowski, using a fake Russian accent and would teach elite troops like the Navy Seals, Special Forces, Delta Force, 101st Airborne, 82nd (Screaming Eagles) Airborne, Army Rangers, Air Force Special Operations, Marine Recon about the Soviet Threat.

Paul has had a wide variety of experiences of being a firefighter with the California Division of Forestry to working with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services and FEMA. He has traveled to over 50 countries and territories. He has a website called Jazma Online! www.jazmaonline.com in which he promotes aspiring writers and artists who are trying to break into the comic book industry. He published his one and only comic book, The Legendary Dark Silhouette in 1996.

Paul has been a freelance writer, writing travel articles, comic book reviews, political articles, etc. He recently became a paranormal investigator with H.P.I. (Haunted and Paranormal Investigations) of Northern California. He has written over 40 paranormal articles that have been published in Doorways Magazine, Atlantis Rising, Paranoia, Haunted Times, Fortean Times, UFO Magazine, Beyond, Werewolf Magazine, Gothic Beauty Magazine, Bad Blood Rising Magazine and Nexus.
