Is This a Ghost Behind My Little Brother

What is this behind my little brother? Ghost?

In 2006, I took my little twin brothers to a children's play area! They live in Canada so when they were over in the UK I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. I have never noticed this before until a few days ago when I was looking at this picture thinking how much I miss them when I noticed a strange thing behind him, you can see its not a reflection but you can see it has two eyes staring right at the camera.
My little brothers used to describe something strange with them when they were young.

Could this be following them or something that was just caught on camera?

I believe that this might have been an accidental double exposure as the Spongebob on his shirt is also washed out. How ever as Mac said we can't say for sure. Although Mac was right in it doesn't have enough info to be conclusive, I don't believe his last statement was totally true. "Truth isn't what you think it is, there are not two truths, only one, and if you can't measure it it doesn't exist." I believe that if we thought like this, we would all say "Mac has no thought processes" by virtue of we have no way of measuring what he is thinking. We can't touch, smell, hear, taste, or see his thought. Therefore we can't believe that he thinks. So in this we must have faith that he can think, and by this way of thinking, have faith that there is a God that watches us and unseen spirits around us that watch us.

That is a particulary Scary image, It seems there are horns emitting from the presences "Head" and the eyes are taring at the camera.

Jpeg compression artefacts have been completely lost especially to the left of the boy's cheek, there is pleny of evidence of post-processing here.

i have taken quite a few pictures of my 2 year old daughter on my digital camera without a flash that turn out just like this. if she's moving, or running it comes up as a blur. sometimes i can't even get a clear picture at all. it really depends on the situation, 2 year olds can be fast ;)
there are some great pictures on this site though, thank you for them.

Exposure Issues

Contrary to what some people have posted here, it is possible to have exposure errors in one part of the picture only; this can be the result of a flaw in the film, chemical damage to the negatives, or simple accidental overexposure. I've seen a few very creepy things on this site, but I suspect this may be a technical problem.

If you look between his little brothers left sholder and left ear, i think there is a little boy there, he is runnin past him towards the left of the picture and he has his arm out like he is pointing at something, maby the play balls on the floor.

If the camera was not working right, then the rest of the picture would be blurry too or would have allot more problems with development. Your camera clearly picked up something that was not there and you do not need a fancy camera to capture the unexplained. I know this for a fact. It can be hard to believe to some people who don't have an open mind. We're not the only people/thing in this large universe and there's still allot we don't know. It's very naive of anyone to say for a fact what caused this to happen. In my opinion, it's just facinating to capture the unexplained.

Second, when someone looks at two circles and assumes, yes I said assumes, they are eyes of demons or anything else it is obvious they have studied none of the fields of digital photography, film photography, chromatic aberation, the effects of dust on lenses or on flim in processing or even on printing. Not knowing all the steps to the final viewed product there are numerous things that may have caused those dots. Almost all of them millions of times more likely than the eyse of a demon or ghost simply because we have seen them millions of times before.

As to the entire effect behind the boy in the picture. Again there is nothing unusual in this effect or error either. It would help to have more information on the exact nature of the camera, and shot situation. First, as in most ghost photos this one is poor to begin with. It is super washed out. This shows that the photo may be the product of an inadvertant double exposure which helps explain the boys so white face. Then again maybe not.

You can't explain strange things without data. Then again, that might just be that point, it's like watching Ghost Hunters. No real data, only junk science and, "I hear something that sounds like...". Like heck you did.

Truth isn't what you think it is, there are not two truths, only one and if you can't measure it, it does not exist.

the figure is weird and the eyes make it disturbing but this isn't the devil if you look closely you can see that the "horns" are part of the playing equipment not the apparition.

Clues.....

Well numero uno, there aren't any reflective objects in the background to make the eyes, and they surely aren't lights. Trust me though, it's not a ghost. A clue might be the size of it; think about it's apperence as well. Demon? Possibly, they do have the ability to shape shift. I suppose you can say I'm a Demonologist, but more along the side of exorcism. The incredible thing is five or six years ago no one gave two cruds about the paranormal and now within those years we have more and more evidence, documentaries, TV Real shows, so on and so on.....what it is I'm not sure, but do not let your eyes decieve you in what the mind knows is true......

Beliefs and fears

Several of the comments here refer to a horned demon or some similar entity. I tend to think that much of the time we project our own beliefs and fears onto what we see. After all, there are a whole bunch of things behind the netting that could have fortuitously made the 'eyes' and 'horns' that others see here, which might not actually be part of what is the phenomenon. It would have been interesting to have a 'without' shot of the background for a comparison. Do I think it's a 'paranormal' something? Probably, yes. Do I think it's a 'demon'? For me, that's a bridge too far, and not reason enough to make the mother of this lad worry.

To Brenda: very interesting to read your own take on your experiences. I think that most folks who come to your site (and others similar) have had some sort of experience(s), and are just trying to make sense of them. I've had several in my adult life (including working for a few months in a very haunted building that was an old former asylum). But how about any really knock-down-drag-out stuff? Yes, that too. Like, a few years back, waking up in the dead of night to see a dark figure in the bedroom watching me. No, I did NOT wake my wife!

That boy has a gift

The entity feels evil to me, he may be appearing to the boy as a past realitive, so he wont be afraid. The boy needs to be baptized and his house blessed by a priest. The boy has a gift but he needs to learn his craft (good vs. evil) it will take time he's just a little boy yet. If he learns to use it corectly it can be a blessing.

I believe something is following or maybe even looking out for the young boys. I wouldn't jump to conclude that it's a demon because the boys are saying that it's their nanna. Obviously they talk with this thing (whatever it may be) and they have been talking with it for years now and they haven't been harmed. I think if it wanted to harm them, it would have happened already.

Ma'am, your son has a gift, a very special gift at that, I still see stuff like that all the time, and to society, I'm crazy, but I'm not, I'm a psychic, a medium of sorts. If your boys can communicate with it, ask them to ask it some questions. But be careful, if it is a demon, it will mix lies with the truth. Just a word of advice.

Well, people ask my opinion and I just try to debunk and offer a plausible explanation. If I declared every submission as validly paranormal, then I would not be being honest.

To answer the question on why have a site about ghosts when I'm going to be logical? I'm a writer and a lover of ghost stories. I find the paranormal intensely intriguing. Just like you guys do.

As far as experiences: I have had experiences I can't explain - a couple when I was a child and others as an adult. The ones I had as a child could be explained as an overactive imagination. As an adult, they occurred with loved ones who had passed - an undeniable feeling that they were visiting to say goodbye. I just "knew" they were there trying to communicate to me.

I don't know if my beliefs are necessarily founded in any religion. I just know that man has a spiritual side and is capable of far more than is commonly accepted. I believe man is a spirit more than I believe he is not. I don't believe ghosts (or most of them) are evil. They're just people without bodies, but the concept is fascinating.

Probably the most active experiences I had were after I started this website. I kept feeling like someone (or several someone's) were watching over my shoulder. I had things move without human intervention. It wasn't scary (except to my husband who was concerned I was losing my sanity), but it got to distracting and I told a friend about it. She performed a cleansing and it stopped. The cleansing wasn't something I necessarily "believe" in, but after that, the feeling of being watched stopped. I don't know if that was good or bad. I kind of liked having visitors. Having them there fueled my imagination for stories.

Now would I declare to the world that that was a paranormal experience? Probably not, because it could be explained as psychological. But I know what happened and it's a personal thing.

lol BRENDA. i have been reading this site for an hour or so a day pretty regularly for a little while now. i must say, i respect that you dont call everything a ghost. in fact, im not sure if i've ever read you say you believed it to be a ghost. i personally dont believe in ghosts, im not sure what religion i am, all i believe in for sure is reason and logic. and i must say, your responses are usually the most logical.

with that being said, have you ever had a very legit, real encounter with what you believe in your soul to be a ghost? just kind of confused why you would be a webmaster for a ghost website when you seem to think pretty logically.

I do believe that's a ghost in that pic because I saw some thing like that myself. I was in my house one nite and got up like 4am went to the bathroom and while I was there I start to feel a rush like something is in me so I turn around then boom that same like horn on his head and that horse like body and them eyes is like you can see right threw them man that was a demon bro get some help that's what I did good luck dude and your brother I can go on all day about how many times I seen that thing real...talk

You should not be disappointed at all... I had the same thing show up in my photo too that shocked my mom and me. It's so amazing just like your picture that you can't ever really figure out what it could be. My photo was taken in my son's room and it had a long white mist with faces. It seems your picture show something following your brother. Best regards.

Thanks to all those who have made comments!.

Well when I saw this thing behind him I was shocked because all the stories of when they were younger came rushing back! He is a twin and he's just turned 9 now. This photo was taken a couple of years ago but since then my mum still tells me about things that go on in their house in Canada so obviously something has being going on for a couple of years now!. They used to say they saw their Nanna (in their room/visit) My mum didnt understand because both their Nanna's were alive! so my dad got a picture of his Nanna (who passed away around 20 yrs ago) and a friend and said to them who are these on the pic one of them replied my nanna who comes to see me! now how could they possibly know this when I have never even met her??????? something is deffinately going on here!

I dont believe its someone moving fast, I have had people cut across a photo before and you can at least see the colour of clothing they have on. This is totally white. This has happened to my mum before though in Canada a pic of her once had a strange orb near her head that wasnt on the first pic taken (she was in the exactly the same spot) it had a strange owl typed face on the orb. My brothers as young boys used to wake up pointing and saying that they could see people in their room. I believe this might be something following them/guiding them..... I believe this is deffinately something other than a person walking past.

The bottom photo most would say motion blur,but the top one I don't think so unless your camera was set for a long exposure,but an expert or someone skilled can find the camera setting if they are digital,all digital pictures have a date,and camera setting on them. Good luck.

Thank you for this picture. I have taken the liberty of enlarging your photo to highlight the "eyes" you mentioned.

I don't believe this is paranormal, though. I think it may be a motion blur of sorts. I believe the eyes you see are part of the background that is coming through.

It is interesting looking, though. Perhaps others have ideas on what this could be?
